Eleuthera Island offers a variety of amenities for you to enjoy during your stay. There are local bands weekly at some of the restaurants. Here are just a few of the activities available on the Eleuthera.
There are miles of unspoiled deserted beaches, Harbour Island in the north and Lighthouse Beach in the south; amazing bat caves with stalactites and stalagmites: unspoiled coral reefs, fishing (also chartering); horseback riding or just visiting Leon Levy Native Plant Preserve on Banks road.
There are many restaurants and markets between Tropical Impulse and Governor’s Harbour, including the Bacchus gourmet deli/organic market on Banks road in Governor’s Harbour. Governor’s Harbour is a good source of fresh fish when the fisherman return to the harbour in the afternoon.
The Island Farm on Queens highway is an organic farm where you can purchase fresh fruit and vegetables. Twice a week homemade bread is available. Every Friday night there is a fish fry right in Governor’s Harbour where locals and visitors share food and music.
